Mike Young Named To All-NBA G League Showcase 2nd Team

Young achieved two double-doubles in two games at the Showcase, averaging 16.0 points and 11.0 rebounds

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. – The NBA G League announced that Northern Arizona Suns forward Mike Young has been named to the All-NBA G League Showcase 2018 Second Team.

Young tallied two double-doubles in the Suns’ 2-0 set at the Showcase in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, this past week. He averaged 16.0 points and 11.0 rebounds.

Young recorded 12 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks, two assists and two steals in Northern Arizona’s 102-96 win over the Erie BayHawks on Wednesday in 25 minutes. In the Suns’ 119-94 win over the Canton Charge on Friday, Young had 20 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 28 minutes.

The 6-foot 9-inch, 235-pound forward led the Suns’ bench in scoring in both games.

Young is the second Northern Arizona Suns player to be honored at the Showcase in team history. Johnny O’Bryant was an honorable mention at the Showcase last season.
