Jacob Carter drives to the basket. Carter had 7 points in the Badgers 65-34 win over Mohave.

The Prescott Badgers saw their entire bench play last night in a 65-34 beat down of the Mohave Thunderbirds in the Badger Dome last night.

It did not take long to see how this game was going to be played out. Prescott jumped on top 9-1 quickly, with similar intensity of the game at Bradshaw Mountain on Tuesday night.

Perfect timing was the key when Sam Yeager drove to the basket, dishing off to Jason Parent for the layup as the quarter ended with the Badgers on top 20-10.

Mohave cut the Badger lead to 22-15, before Prescott got the offense on track again. Jason Parent, who led all scorers with 19, started with a three, followed by a Jacob Brown three in front of the Badger student section, which erupted, with 3:17 left in the half, and a 28-15 Prescott lead.

Milap Owens ended the first half with a three of his own, giving the home team a 37-17 lead at the half.

Sam Yeager's three at the third quarter buzzer gave the Badgers a 55-25 lead.

Running clock was the norm in the final quarter, with Prescott's lead growing to 36, at 61-25 with 5:40 left. Mohave outscored the Badgers 9-4 in the final minutes, but far too little, and far too late.

Jason Parent said, "We came out with the same mentality as we would with any team tonight. I think we are playing good right now and hope to build on it as we get more into region play."

Milap Owens scored 11, and Korey Schwartz added 10.

Prescott coach Travis Stedman said, "I was really happy with our aggressiveness tonight. Our goal was to get four singler digit quarters defensively. We got three of four.  Korey was on a mission to get every rebound and was virtually unguarded in the paint.we did get a little loos with the ball trying to make some sportscenter plays, but that tends to be expected in a game like this.Very proud of our kids. Great bounce back week with two regions wins."

Prescott improves to (4-2) in the Grand Canyon Region and (5-9) overall. The Badgers will host Peoria, in a non-region contest, on Tuesday at 7pm. Mohave slips to (0-6) and (6-13).
