In the final of three straight evenings of volleyball at Prescott High School, the Prescott Badgers were swept by Grand Canyon Region leader Flagstaff 3-0.
Things started off well for the home team in the first two games. Prescott led 8-2 early, and had a 14-5 lead, before Flagstaff came back. The Eagles caught the Badgers at 19, and went up 24-19. Prescott battled back to tie the game at 24, but gave up the final two and deciding points.
Game two was similar, as the Badgers jumped on top 10-4. Flagstaff would caught Prescott at 15. This time their was no rally, as the Eagles went on to win 25-19.
The final game was pretty much all Flagstaff, as the Badgers trailed from the beginning, ultimately falling 25-13.
The loss to the Eagles follows a 3-0 setback to Deer Valley, on Wednesday. The Skyhawks won by scores of 25-19, 25-8, and 25-15.
On Tuesday night, the Badgers swept the Mingus Marauders 3-0 by scores of 25-14, 29-27, and 25-20.
The Badgers (4-7) in Grand Canyon Region, and (7-9) overall, will host Bradshaw Mountain on Monday at 6pm, on Senior Night. Flagstaff improves to (11-0) and (15-1).
