Roughrider Softball Team Heads to Nationals

The Roughrider Softball Team Gets the #8 Seed in the NJCAA Division I National Softball Tournament. They Will Face Off with Walters State (TN) at 5:00 PM on Wednesday.

The Yavapai College Roughriders had a season record of 47-15 this year. Overall, the Roughriders are 16-9 at the NJCAA National Tournament with 2 National Titles, a 3rd place finish, a 5th place finish and a 9th place finish.

Andrea Sotelo (.450, 18 HR) and Amy Robinson (31-6, 1.48 ERA) are noted as the Yavapai players to watch.

This will be the first trip to the Nationals for the Yavapai Roughrider Softball team since 2011, and the first under Coach Dough Eastman, who has been leading the team for just two years.
