  • Patriotic and historical observances were held on Memorial Day.
  • The City of Prescott kicked off its free Summer Concert series Tuesday night with a performance by the Jackson Jones Jazz Trio.
  • District One Representative Ann Kirkpatrick was in Mayer on Wednesday afternoon.
  • The Prescott Valley Town Council discussed an increase in the sales tax rate to 3 percent.
  • On Friday morning, the Prescott Water Issues Committee discussed operational storage and releases, water quality sampling, analysis and management at Watson and Willow Lakes.
  • Former Yavapai County Attorney Billy Hicks was killed when he walked in front on an oncoming freight train.
  • The Prescott City Council Appointment Committee met in a closed executive session Tuesday afternoon to discuss some vacancies.
  • On Tuesday night, it was determined a committee would be formed to address the Humboldt Unified School District staff dress code.
  • And the Prescott Valley Town Council discussed a work plan for a Castle Canyon Mesa and Prescott East Sanitary Sewer District.
