Note: If there are other churches that would like to be added to this list, please contact editor@enewsaz.com We need your website URL, your Facebook page if you have one, a list of your services and a link to an online stream if your church provides that. Thank you!

Coronavirus Statement: In Time of Great Sickness and Mortality.

From the Book of Common Prayer

O MOST mighty and merciful God, in this time of grievous sickness, we flee unto thee for succour. Deliver us, we beseech thee, from our peril; give strength and skill to all those who minister to the sick; prosper the means made use of for their cure; and grant that, perceiving how frail and uncertain our life is, we may apply our hearts unto that heavenly wisdom which leadeth to eternal life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

  • Our offices will stay open during normal business hours. We’ll continue to serve our community through our Food Bank and our Helps ministries.

Coronavirus Statement: Stay updated with Cornerstone Church’s plans.

I wanted to encourage you.

It is very easy to become consumed with the obstacles we’re facing or the bad news which is inundating us. I know receiving updates like we heard from the President on Sunday night or from the Governor regarding schools on Monday morning is challenging. Honestly, these times have been trying for me. My wife and I are working full-time from home, alternating between working at our kitchen table and teaching our kids through their assignments each day. We’ve felt exhausted and challenged, to say the least. Our words towards each other haven’t been kind, at times. There is no map for how to navigate these kinds of moments and we’re offering each other a lot of grace. Our hearts are breaking for friends and family who are facing layoffs or financial shortfalls.

But, at the same time as we’re all facing obstacles, we’re also seeing opportunities. More people are open to hearing about the difference our faith makes in this world, especially this current situation. Those with food, secure employment, and toilet paper are sharing with others. People who weren’t attending a service in person are now engaging online. Groups that got by meeting twice a month now are hungry to meet every week. Those who were consumed with their own needs are taking time to check on others’ condition.

We’re seeing unprecedented giving to our Benevolence Fund! In fact, we have one attendee who has offered to match any giving to our Benevolence Fund through April 30, up to $10,000. (Giving to this fund is done outside of and beyond our General Budget). We look forward to making a difference in many lives through the money God provides.

We wish we could all be together in one room, but even when I’m speaking to an empty room on Sunday, I know deep in my gut that we’re in this together!

So, keep pursuing Jesus on a daily basis through prayer and reading in the Gospel of John. During this time of distancing, lean into digital opportunities to connect with those in your community group, your family, and your friends. Look for those who need assistance and trust that what you have is all God needs to make a difference in their lives! Share words of faith, hope, and love on social media and point people to Jesus - who never changes and who never forsakes us.

You are an amazing church, Cornerstone. We knew that all along, but we’re seeing it in high- definition clarity this spring!

If you need anything, please reach out. We love you and we’re praying for you. Jesus is on the move and at work. Let’s depend on Him and each other like never before!

Coronavirus Statement:

LATEST UPDATE: 04/01/20 7:49a

As we continue to look to our national, state and local government authorities for direction in this season, our hope is to support their efforts and recommendations as best we can to love and care for our community.

In step with the latest guidelines from the Governor’s Office, we are maintaining our closure of campus, as well as the pause of all off-campus group meetings through April 30. This includes all Life Groups, Heights Youth and Heights Kids gatherings and activities of any size.

The physical church office will be closed but our staff team will be answering phone calls, receiving mail and responding to email. We care deeply for you and are still available to connect virtually by the gift of technology.

We are looking forward to seeing all of you Sunday as we continue to gather at our Online Campus at 10:30a and 6p. Our Lobby Team can’t stop talking about how much fun and life you bring to them each week in the chat!

SOLID ROCK CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

—    COVID-19 UPDATE    —

5 APRIL, 2020

Dear Solid Rock Family,

We are continuing to seek the Lord for guidance and direction on how to join God in loving people into following Jesus as the family of God during this pandemic.

As the body of Christ, we will continue to look for opportunities to minister to our community, however most ministries from the church are on hold until the end of April (including our Sunday gatherings). We are endeavoring to submit to our governing authorities as well as Christ’s call to love our neighbors in this time.

In uncertain times like this, we need to rely on God’s certain truths.

To watch the latest message from God’s Word delivered by Pastor Matt on Sunday morning, click HERE  https://vimeo.com/fbcprescott/review/404135155/9b56ac554b Sunday. The video will also be available on our facebook page (click HERE).

We are here to serve you in these difficult times. His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Coronavirus Statement: In order to protect all of us and the community, after consulting with the Vestry, it is with a broken heart, but believing it’s the best for us at this time, that I have decided to shut down St Luke’s for two weeks beginning this afternoon. That might look like an extreme and unnecessary decision, but I prefer for us to be safe than sorry.

Deacon Kimball is the preacher for this weekend; we will publish her sermon on the website.

Coronavirus statement: A Message to Our Church Family,

Governor Doug Ducey announced a ban on gatherings of 50+ people, based on recommendations from the CDC. This is to help stem the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Due to this ban, we will be moving all Church services at The Potter’s House Prescott to ONLINE ONLY. (Adult Bible Class Sundays 9:30am, Sunday Services 10:30am & 6:30pm, Wednesday Service 7:30pm, and Martes en Español 7:30pm).

Follow Through on:

We are not doing this based on fear or panic, but as a wise and reasonable response to align with governmental guidelines to help stem the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). While we can’t gather together personally, we can continue to worship and hear God’s word together online. Each service will be a regular full service, with singing, worship, praise, offering, preaching and altar call – just as usual. This is to provide you with continuity, and enable you to participate with us as you would in person. You can also invite friends and family to watch with you – knowing that unsaved people will still be challenged with the Gospel, and have an opportunity to respond.

You can join us online  by clicking the Watch Services boxes (in English or Spanish) on the front page of www.prescottpottershouse.com

We ask that you understand that our commitments to outreach, domestic church planting, and international missions church planting will continue. Therefore, we ask you to remain faithful to the Lord in your financial giving. You  can give in the following ways:

Coronavirus Statement:

Dear Church Family,

I am writing you to let you know that after much prayer and under the advisement of our state and federal governments and healthcare officials, we will be canceling our Sunday services for the next two weeks, March 22nd and March 29th. We will also cancel any face to face gatherings of 10 or more people for that same time frame.

Here is a copy of our nation’s 15-day plan to slow the spread.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/03.16.20_coronavirus-guidance_8.5x11_315PM.pdf

We know that during this time many of us will spend more time at home, isolated, away from crowds and gatherings. We don’t want you to feel alone and disconnected. Josh Micale, Josh White, Randy Irwin, Tim Goeringer (The Elders) and I are praying for guidance on how to navigate this time and we will be trying some new ways to get teaching and encouragement to you, wherever you might be. Love from our homes to yours J via the world wide web. I hope each one of us, whether you are part of a care group or not will stay connected to each other via email and telephone while we are not able to meet as a large group.

We will record a video of this week’s sermon and then will send the link to that video to you in an email. You will receive this email before Sunday morning and you will have it to watch in place of our Sunday morning service. We will try a little something new.

Lord, we pray that as you lead us through this time of so much uncertainty that we won’t forget to lean into you, your strength and love are the only truly certain things we can build our life on. Thank you for never leaving us and not giving up on us when our faith is small and believing gets hard. We love you!

Amen.

Love you all.
