June 30, 2018, Chino Valley Police responded to 665 N. State Route 89, in reference to a male subject who had been stabbed. Responding Officers and Fire personnel performed life saving measures, but the victim ultimately died of his injuries a short time later at the hospital.
During their investigation, Officers learned the victim, 16 year old Alex Robinson, several other juveniles and the suspect, 26 year old Donovan Larriba-Tucker, all Chino Valley residents, had been involved in a fight in a field located off Grasshopper Road in Chino Valley. During the fight Larriba-Tucker stabbed Alex several times with a knife. After being stabbed, two of the juveniles drove Alex to the location where he was located by the Officers.
After locating all the individuals involved, executing several search warrants and conducting interviews, Larriba-Tucker was arrested and booked on second degree murder, with possible additional charges pending further investigation.
The case will be forwarded to the Yavapai County Attorney's Office for review of charges on the other involved individuals.
