4 Unhurt in Rollover Accident

Seatbelts made all the difference...

At about 7:30pm on April 15th, 2017, Prescott Fire Department received a 911 about a possible vehicle that had rolled over in the 5100 block of Arrowhead Drive in the Highland Pines area of Prescott.  When the initial fire crews arrived on scene, they found a pickup truck that was over on it’s side in a ditch with two people still inside.  It appears that a young family had been in the truck when it overturned and that the two kids were able to climb out of the vehicle unhurt.  Fire crews on scene were able to assist the parents out the rear window of the pickup truck and it appeared that all 4 people escaped any injuries.  The family refused any further medical care and a tow truck was dispatched to help right the truck that was on it’s side.

Prescott Fire Department wants to remind you that it is critical to wear your seatbelt each and every time that you ride in a vehicle…no matter how short the trip.  In a situation where a vehicle overturns, being properly belted in and having kids in proper fitting and correctly installed car seats can make the difference between life and death to those whom you love.
