Arizona State Senator Steve Pierce Tapped to Chair Natural Resources Committee

Senator Steve Pierce, who represents LD 1, encompassing much of Yavapai County, has been appointed the Chair of the Natural Resources Committee.

Senator Steve Pierce (LD-1) has been selected as Chairman of the Natural Resources Committee for the upcoming session. The Natural Resources Committee meets Monday mornings at 9 AM in Room 109. 

In addition, Pierce has been assigned to the Transportation (Tuesday 2 PM) and the Judiciary (Thursday 9 AM) committees.

State Debt & Budget Reform, Mondays 9 AM

Rules, Mondays 1 PM

Commerce and Workforce Development: Mondays 2 PM

Water & Energy, Mondays 2 PM

Federalism, Mandates and Fiscal Responsibility, Tuesdays, 9 AM

Appropriations, Tuesdays, 2 PM

Transportation, Tuesday, 2 PM

Public Safety, Military & Technology, Wednesdays 9 AM

Health & Human Services, Wednesdays, 2 PM

The Rural Affairs and Environment committee has been discontinued. That doesn't mean that Rural Affairs won't be considered this term, according to Mike Philipsen, the Communications Advisor for the Senate Majority Staff. "The bills would just go to other committees, such as Water & Energy, Transportation and Natural Resources," Philipsen explained.
