04 August 2010

Come meet and mingle with local candidates before tonight's Candidate Forum, sponsored by the League of Women Voters.

canddatesDo you wonder how the candidates for the Arizona Legislature stand on a variety of issues? Well, now is your chance to find out.  There will be a Candidate Forum, sponsored by the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Central Yavapai County, tonight at the Yavapai College Performance Hall.

On hand will be Senate candidates Bob Donahue (D), Steve Pierce (R); and House candidates Lindsay Bell (D), Noel Campbell (R), Karen Fann (R) and Andy Tobin (R). There will be an opportunity to meet and mingle with the candidates from 5:30 to 6:30.

The Forum will take place from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, with questions coming from members of the audience.

"Lucy Mason is leaving her seat in the House of Representatives due to term limits,” stated LWV President Vicky McLane. "With all the wrangling over budget and immigration this past year, I think there is a lot of interest, especially in the House seat."

The League will provide the moderators. Co-sponsors of the event include Access 13, Yavapai College and Prescott Area Leadership. This Forum will be televised later on Access 13.
