High-Voltage Holidays: Lightwire Theater Brings A Very Electric Christmas to Yavapai College Performing Arts Center, December 12

Imagine a brand-new Christmas story, told by a very old friend. Lightwire Theatre brings holiday tradition and hi-tech together at Yavapai College, when A Very Electric Christmas tells a family-friendly yarn through the language of holiday lights. It all happens Thursday night, December 12, at 7 p.m. at Yavapai College Performing Arts Center.

A Very Electric Christmas is a marvel of live entertainment that takes holiday lights out of the realm of house and shrubbery décor and makes them the tellers of this heartwarming tale.

Separated from his family during their winter migration, a young bird named Max takes refuge at the North Pole during its busiest time of year. While Santa’s home offers more than its share of wonders, Max embarks on an odyssey to find his way back. His adventure brings dancing toy soldiers, caroling worms and performing poinsettias together – as well as holiday music from Nat King Cole, Mariah Carey, and Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky – in a quest to reunite his family.

Audiences of all ages will treasure this magical and captivating tale of family, friendship, and hope. A Very Electric Christmas’s dazzling visuals and menagerie of characters combine puppetry, theater and dance.

Created by New Orleans-based Lightwire Theatre – which has conceived and constructed innovative techno-theatrical experiences in Hong Kong, Estonia, Canada, Belarus, China, and Abu Dhabi – A Very Electric Christmas is an inspired and exhilarating holiday experience.

Tickets for A Very Electric Christmas concert start at $25, with $10 youth tickets available. Yavapai College Performing Arts Center at 1100 E. Sheldon Street.
