Prescott, AZ (Nov. 4, 2016) - Members of the public are invited to the Yavapai College Prescott campus on Tuesday, Nov. 15 to celebrate our veterans and their service to our country. Veterans are especially encouraged to attend, to learn about the Yavapai College Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) program, VA education benefits, financial aid, and additional community- and college-based resources.

The Yavapai College Veterans Celebration and Resource Fair will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the campus library (building 19, room 147). Light food and refreshments will be available, and live music will be provided by Mood Swings.

This year, Yavapai College will also honor Arizona’s service men and women who have fallen since the Afghanistan and Iraq wars by hosting a memorial display featuring the names of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this nation.

The VUB TRIO Program gives eligible U.S. military veterans throughout northern Arizona the opportunity to refresh their academic skills and provides support to assist them to be successful in pursuing an education prior to attending a college, university, or technical school.
