The Prescott softball team took advantage of a half a dozen errors in an 18-9 over the McClintock Chargers, in Tempe.
The Badgers jumped on top in the second with seven runs that included four walks, five hits and a McClintock error. The big blow coming on a bases loaded clearing double by Caeden McKelvey. Delaney Marshall followed with an RBI single, scoring McKelvey. Before that Kendall Schwartz had tripled and scored on a passed ball. Carly Ross doubled and scored on a single by Audrey Lockling.
The Chargers put two on the board when Shannon Lee singled and scored on a triple by Marissa Ferreira. A passed ball allowed Ferriera to score.
The Badgers lead increased to 12-2, when back to back errors scored Xenia Franco and Audrey Lockling, who had her second single of the game. Brea Christopherson singled in Caeden McKelvey and Delaney Marshall, both of whom reached on errors.
McClintock answered with two more in the third. An error and three hits scored Shania Smith and Christina Smith.
Prescott went back up by ten, at 14-4, when Jaklyn Braithwaite was hit by a pitch, and scored on an RBI triple by Ashlynn Uvila. Caeden McKelvey singled in Uvila.
The Chargers hung around with four more runs to get within 14-8, on a pair of hits, a walk, and a pair of Badger errors.
Prescott went up 17-8 when Delaney Marshall tripled in Caeden McKelvey. Marshall scored on a single by Fran Larson, who would later score on a double by Cristina Banuelos.
The Badgers would add one more run for good measure, when Caeden McKelvey scored on a sacrifice fly by Carly Ross.
McClintock drops to (1-19), will play their final game of the season at Skyline.
Prescott (20-9) will host their final regular season game, when they face La Joya Community, tomorrow at 3:30pm.
