The DAV 200 is the semifinal race in the NASCAR XFINITY Series being held at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) on Saturday, November 14. Chino Valley’s own Drew Ryniewicz will start them off with the National Anthem. The DAV 200, which is an event Honoring America’s Veterans, will be televised live on NBCSN.
According to the PIR website, "The talented young singer from Chino Valley burst onto the national scene in 2011 as a 14-year-old when she captured the attention of millions of fans with her unique and soulful renditions of songs such as Justin Bieber’s Baby on “X Factor USA.” Her popularity with the show’s viewers was so strong that host Simon Cowell declared that she was “now known simply as ‘Drew.’”
Since appearing on X Factor USA, Drew has performed across the country, spending time in Nashville and Los Angeles writing and recording. She released her first EP, “Hello It’s Me,” and recently released a new original single titled, Ugly, which has been highly rated by customers on iTunes. Her newest album is set to debut in 2016.
On tour for the last several months, Drew has been performing and speaking to teens about bullying.
One thing not many fans know about Drew is that besides her singing talents, she is a NASCAR enthusiast. “She currently sits in second place in the NASCAR Celebrity Fantasy League,” reports PIR.
“I can’t say I’d give up music for racing, but I have to say I get pretty excited by the speed,” says Drew, noting that some of the drivers, “…definitely can turn your head!”
