OPEN HOUSE MEETING INVITATION

The City of Prescott invites you to attend the third and final open house meeting for design of the Zone 16 Utility Improvements Project. The meeting will be held Thursday, March 22 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Bassett Room at the Cornell Activity Center, 1615 Coyote Road. The open house will provide an opportunity for community members to view the preliminary design plans, ask questions, and learn more about the proposed improvements. All public input is welcome and will be considered throughout the design process.

Design for this project includes the replacement of the existing Zone 16 water tank, improvements to the tank access road, increased capacity of the Virginia Street pump station, and installation of an upsized 12" water main along portions of Virginia Street and Haisley Road. The improvements being designed will provide adequate water delivery for existing customers, allow for future water needs, and improve water supply for fire protection.

The City of Prescott and their contractor, Earth Resources Corporation, are currently working on an infrastructure improvement project in Downtown Prescott on Monday, March 12, 2018. The project consists of complete reconstruction and improvements of the alleys and parking lot behind the Bashford Courts Atrium Mall, and the intersection of Willis Street and Cortez Street to Montezuma Street. Improvements at Bashford Courts includes installation of new storm drain, sewer main, parking lot lighting, and landscape elements. Improvements at the Willis Street and North Cortez Street intersection includes a new water main extending to North Montezuma Street, as well as landscape enhancements and crosswalk reconstruction. Additionally, new asphalt pavement will be installed throughout the project area. To minimize impacts to the traveling public, the majority of the work on Willis and Cortez Street will be performed at night.

Once finished, the project will significantly improve stormwater drainage, provide upgraded water and sewer utilities, and increase overall safety and accessibility for the Bashford Courts parking lot. The project is scheduled to be complete in late spring 2018.

ZONE 12 WATER PUMP STATION PROJECT SIGNIFICANTLY COMPLETE

The City of Prescott and their contractor, Schofield Civil Constriction, LLC, have reached significant completion of the Zone 12 Water Pump Station Project. Project improvements included the construction of a new pump station for water utility services and drainage improvements at the southwest corner of Pioneer Parkway and Willow Creek Road. These improvements have successfully given the City's Water Operations Department the ability to divert water throughout multiple zones, enhancing system reliability for all users. Please note, APS will return at a later date to install a transformer and activate power at the project site.

The City is proud to bring utility improvements such as this to the Prescott Community and appreciate your support as crews have worked to complete this project.

The City of Prescott and their contractor, Asphalt Paving & Supply, Inc., are currently working on a road and utility upgrade project along State Route 89. The project limits include State Route 89 between the State Route 89A/Pioneer Parkway interchange and Granite Dells. Improvements include the widening of State Route 89, water and sewer utility upgrades, removing and replacing the existing asphaltic concrete, and construction of a new roundabout near the Phippen Museum. The project also includes a new parking area for access to the City's Constellation Trail System.

Once complete, this project will increase traffic flow by widening the existing two-lane roadway to four lanes, enhance road user safety, and upgrade utilities that serve the Prescott community. The project is scheduled for completion in spring 2018.

TRAFFIC SHIFTING TO EASTSIDE OF STATE ROUTE 89 NEXT WEEK
