Slow Start Dooms Badgers Men's Basketball Against Lee Williams ;
Paxton Henry scored nine points to go along with eight rebounds and two assists but it wasn’t enough to break the Prescott High School Badgers men’s basketball team out of their recent struggles as the team lost their fifth straight with a defeat at the hands of Lee Williams 50-38 on the road Friday night.

A slow start killed the Badgers as the team was only able to muster three points while the Volunteers scored 12. The Badger offense woke up a bit in the second quarter but the defense struggled to contain Lee Williams as the Volunteers outscored the Badgers 22-10 in the quarter and took a 34-13 lead into halftime.

The Badgers came out of the locker room hot on both sides of the ball only allowing Lee Williams to score four points while the Badgers scored 14, decreasing the deficit to a manageable 11 points going into the final quarter.

While the Badgers battled in the fourth quarter, the slow start was just too much to overcome as Lee Williams was able to hold onto their lead in the fourth quarter for the victory.

Dallin Jex and Braden Lopez each picked five points on the night while Lopez also kicked in seven rebounds and four blocks. Kody Jones also had a good game in the paint picking up seven rebounds as well.

The Badgers (10-11, 2-6 section) look to break the losing streak against bitter rival Bradshaw Mountain at home on Tuesday with a 7:00pm tip-off at Prescott High School.
